Erick Garay (Lima, 1997) is a writer and cultural promoter. He began publishing as a columnist for the Peruvian newspaper La República at the age of fifteen. He is the recipient of the 2026 National Playwriting Award from Peru’s Ministry of Culture, the 2012 YoLeo Prize from Grupo La República, and was a finalist for the 2024 Copé Prize for Short Fiction. His short fiction has been published in literary anthologies in Lima and Buenos Aires.

In 2026, he was awarded a scholarship to pursue a Master’s degree in Audiovisual Screenwriting at the International Film and Television School (EICTV) in Cuba.

His first short-story collection is forthcoming.
